- Power the device on
- Connect device and computer to the same network
- Access the AppServiced Gateway via <IPv4>:8090
- IPv4 can be found at 'Settings > Network > Advance settings > IP settings'
- Check/confirm the SoftCat that the device is on
- Force all apps on the device to be Launchable, to enable the tool apps
- Find and launch 'partner.trials.app'
- Observe 'Welcome to App Trails' screen launched on device
- Use remote to enter provided PIN
- Observe 'CODE ***_dev accepted' message - The app is ready to accept side-loaded URL.
- Observe the app catalog reduced to a few representative apps on the platform, some tool
apps, and most importantly your own app (may take a few seconds)- If the catalog not auto-updating, go to ‘Se#ngs > System Management > System
info > Resets & updates > Refresh apps’ to for the device to update
- If the catalog not auto-updating, go to ‘Se#ngs > System Management > System
- 'Launch app with arguments'
- Add "save":true argument if interested in making the dev-url “sticky” to the app tile
- Observe app launched on device
- Confirm the right URL via Remote Web Inspector (RWI)
- To revert to production catalog, either
- Enter PIN=000000 to partner.trials.app OR
- AppServiced Gateway > Settings > Set SoftCat URL > Reset to Default
